Anouk van der Weiden

As social beings, we are constantly dealing with the choices and behaviour of others. At the same time, we also have a need for autonomy and control. That area of tension fascinates me. How do we stay true to our own goals? How does our social environment affect our sense of responsibility? And why do we often want to do everything ourselves and have difficulty asking for or accepting help from others?

I like to think about how we can create more space for social behavior by taking into account the goals and autonomy of individuals.
