As a researcher, I find it important to contribute to solving societal problems. Collaboration with other disciplines and partners in society is key to establishig a good problem analysis and intervention approach, as well as ensuring that knowledge obtained is shared and used. In my research projects about public perceptions of the energy transition and climate policy I provide solicited and unsolicited advice and share knowledge in various ways — for example via scientific reports and articles, but also webinars, workshops, blogs, and social media.

To solve societal problems, you first have to understand the underlying causes. Social science research can play an important role in this.
