It is not so bad to need help in life from time to time. It is very unpleasant if this help makes you feel incompetent and dependent. When do we dare to ask for help, and how do we feel when we receive it? I am interested in the psychological determinants and consequences of helping behaviour. An example of this in the context of economic decisions is debt assistance. More insight into the psychological aspects of debt assistance can help to identify and remedy financial problems at an earlier stage.
By combining scientific knowledge in the field of helping with insights from practice, I try to facilitate the exchange of help in economic situations.
